About Us

I found my love for beauty from my childhood experiences. Believe it or not, I was a Tom Boy growing up and all this came when I was in college. I was always called pretty but I never really felt that way, I just felt like I looked different from everyone. So, when I actually got older and could control how I looked I started with my eyebrows because let's be honest I don't have many. I started wanting to learn how to do things on my own because I was cheap, particular, and knew I liked to change it up fast so I didn't want to keep paying people. I started watching YouTube and dabbling in makeup and hair and just have been hooked ever since. Then I realized it's a lot of women like me who like to just keep it simple and still look like themselves but all dolled up at the same time. I wanted to change that, which is why I started practicing on friends and family and was like oh I guess I'm not that bad at this. Then I got the idea to actually teach from others because everyone would always ask me tips and tricks. 

The Natural Things was created with the goal to enhance the natural beauty that we all possess. There is nothing like being able to feel beautiful but still feel like your natural self and have products that aren't harmful to you. We strive for everyone to feel beautiful and be able to apply makeup at any level and to have all natural products that can be used for the whole family. There are so many brands that contain harmful chemicals or even ingredients that most have allergens to and I wanted to control that as much as I can. All products are cruelty free and most are even vegan.
